PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying truck system in which the stop control and the stop point can be checked only by one kind of a shielding plate. SOLUTION: A shielding plate 4 which can change shielding/non-shielding by synchronization with longitudinal comb teeth 3 of a longitudinal comb-teeth rack 2 is provided, and shielding/non-shielding is detected by a position detector 12 provided on the stacker crane. The position detector 12 has a pair of position sensors S3 and S4 on the inner side and a pair of stop point check sensors S1 and S2 on both outer sides thereof, and a space between the stop point check sensors S1 and S2 is set to be slightly smaller than the pitch of the longitudinal comb teeth 3. Any change in the shielding/non-shielding state of the shielding plate 4 is read to detect the present position, and the stacker crane is decelerated and stopped. When the stacker crane is stopped, the stacker crane is determined to be correctly stopped if the signals of the stop point check sensors S1 and S2 are same. If the signals are different from each other, the stop points are determined to be incorrect, and the stop of the stacker crane is re-tried. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
