PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to enhance reliability of residual energy indication of a battery with respect to an operating state in which power consumption is large. SOLUTION: A communication part 101 of a video camera 1 receives predicted power information on a printer from the printer and receives battery power information from a battery pack. When a microcomputer 11 determines that an operating state makes a transition to a state where power consumption changes, that is, the printer is in a printing preparatory state for its printing operation, a computation part 102 reads predicted power information previously stored therein on the camera 1 while the printer is on from a storage part 104. Based on predicted power information on the printer received by the communication part 101 and on read out predicted power information on the camera 1, predicted power consumption for a video camera system is found in cases where the printer operates, and battery residual time is found based on the predicted power consumption.
