PURPOSE: A method for managing a file of a terminal is provided to delete an unnecessary file defined by a user by automatically searching the unnecessary file. CONSTITUTION: If a power is turned on, the current date and time are checked in a system of a terminal. If a user selects a mode conversion button, it is checked whether a storing command of a file exists in a file finder. If the file storing command exists, a storing menu is displayed, the user designates days for storing each file in the storing menu, and information thereof and the file are stored in a memory. The current date and time are detected in a file managing application software. Files, which have been passed the set date and time are passed, are searched and deleted out of the stored files.
