PURPOSE: A near field optical pickup device is provided to stably record and play data against disturbance or vibration by arranging a narrow auxiliary suspension arm on a suspension arm. CONSTITUTION: A laser beam generated from a pickup unit fixed at a support part(25) of a main suspension arm(24) is incident to a prism arranged at an edge before being refracted. The refracted laser beam is incident to an objective lens(23) secured at a slider unit(21) of the main suspension arm. The laser beam generates an optical spot while passing through an opposite lens and the optical spot is applied to an optical disk. The slider unit levitates at a certain distance by an air pressure due to fast rotation of the optical disk. An auxiliary suspension arm(26) is arranged at a bent area to maintain a stable distance with the optical disk. A levitation height of the auxiliary suspension arm is lower than a levitation height of the main suspension arm, so that the levitation height of the main suspension arm is stabilized against disturbance or vibration.
