PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the safety of the contacts of a connector incorporating a memory IC and improve reliability.

SOLUTION: The connector is provided for the rotary type developing unit and incorporates a memory IC from/into which data is read/written by separation/contact of a connector on the main body device side. The connector has a guide member (42) which guides separation/contact of the connector on the main body device side and on which contact members are integrally formed, an impact receiving member (41) provided on one of the surfaces with the guide member, and a contact protection member (45) provided on the other surface of the impact receiving member and incorporating the memory IC substrate.
