METHOD FOR BLEACHING FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bleaching a fabric, by which the fabric can efficiently be bleached at room temperature with a small environmental load in excellent operation safety in an energy-saving state enabling the reduction of carbon dioxide exhaust without needing the bleaching treatment for a long time at a high temperature and without deteriorating the fabric.

SOLUTION: This method for bleaching the fabric comprises irradiating the fabric with UV light and visible light in the presence of a silyl hydride compound as a reducing agent.
