<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation for sites around the eyes, consisting of a composition containing coix seed and associated with new applications, and capable of ameliorating dark areas, small wrinkles and swelling. <P>SOLUTION: The skin care preparation comprises coix seed and/or its extract, a cell proliferation promoter and a blood circulation promoter. As the cell proliferation promoter, a plant such as aloe, Taraxacum officinale, Cnidium officinale, Mulberry bark, carrot or hop, or its extract is used. As the blood circulation promoter, vitamin E and/or its derivative, a plant such as almond, peanut, perilla or pumpkin, or its extract is used.
