PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly stick substrates together through an adhesive. SOLUTION: A pressing mechanism 13 is assembled in an upper stage 3a so that the upper substrate is pressed along a line of the sealant 11 applied from the outside of the substrate (1a) when the upper stage 3a presses an upper substrate 1a so that the gap between both upper and lower substrates 1a and 1b is decreased and both the substrates are stuck together through an applied sealant (adhesive) 11. The pressing mechanism 13 presses the substrate along the sealant 11, so a leak of liquid crystal 10, entry of air into a cell, etc., are evaded and an excellent liquid crystal display panel ca be manufactured.
