PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pin-shaped article holder which makes it easy to position a pin-shaped article such as a pin gauge 53 at the center part of the holder when the pin-shaped body is replaced, match the length of the pin-shaped article to a prescribed value at this time, or hold a necessary extracting force without tight screwing, etc. SOLUTION: The holder has a cylinder part 12 and a core part 13 which engages it, the cylinder part 12 has a support hole 14, a 1st tapered part 16, and a female screw 17, and the core part 13 has a chuck 19, a 2nd tapered part 21, and a male screw 22. The cylinder part 12 and core member 13 are engaged together by using the female screw 17 and male screw 22. When the pin-shaped article is inserted into the support hole in a state where the screws are loosely engaged and further inserted into the chuck 19 and then the screws are tightly engaged, the 2nd tapered part 21 enters the 1st tapered part 16 and is clamped to the 1st tapered part 16, so that the chuck 19 tightly holds the pin-shaped article.
