PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate for a surface light source comprising a hydrogenated styrene copolymer which is excellent in optical characteristics, heat resistance, mechanical strength and molding property and which has little moisture absorption. SOLUTION: The light guide plate for a surface light source comprises a hydrogenated styrene copolymer having≥70 wt.% to≤97 wt.% of hydrogenated styrene polymer unit content and≥30 Pa×s and≤150 Pa×s melt viscosity (melt viscosity under conditions of at 300°C and 10<SP>3</SP>s<SP>-1</SP>shear rate).
