PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development method of a seaside marsh capable of being conserved and reclaimed by spatially joining a reed field with tideland and the seaside marsh. SOLUTION: Fresh water 12 is supplied to the coastal soil 13 gently inclined downward to the bottom of the sea from the shore 10 from the height higher than the shoreline, and the ground water level 15 joined near the shoreline from the fresh water supply site is formed. The ground water level 15 has the depth suitable for living of wet plants 3, and the coastal soil 13 can be changed into sandy soil having a grain size suitable for the wet plants 3. Preferably, tideland sediment soil 18 is added as fertile soil to a site between the shoreline in the case of a high tide and the shoreline in the case of an ebb tide on the coastal soil 13. The tideland sediment soil 18 can be changed into soil having a grain size suitable for living of sand crab, shellfish and/or hairy fish. Preferably, seaweed fishery sediment soil 19 suitable for living of seaweed is displaced to a site lower than the shoreline in the case of an ebb tide on the coastal soil 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
