PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous dispersion which offers an improved dispersion stability against a wide range of solid particles such as pigments and dyes, causes no problem such as settling during storage and can be stably stored over a long period of time, and to obtain an aqueous dispersion showing an excellent high-speed printability as an ink for ink jet printers in addition to these performances. SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion is obtained by mixing an organic solvent phase containing a water-insoluble solid and a resin having a polyether structure and an aqueous phase. The solid contains fine particles having structures coated with the resin. The amount of resin applied to the solid is 15-1,000 pts.wt. against 100 pts.wt. solid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
