PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for use in a vehicle and a method of displaying whereby it is possible to establish a new way of exhibition by the display part, heighten the value as a commodity, and contribute to a safe driving of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The display device 1 for use in vehicle is equipped with an input part from which a conditional signal from a part to be measured is inputted and a control means 3 to determine the measuring value from the inputted conditional signal and display the value on the display part 4. The control means 3 determines the measuring value of the part to be measured and changes over from the displaying of the measuring value at normal times into any other displaying at least containing the measuring value in the case the conditional signal from the part to be measured remains unchanged for a specified period of time or the condition that the measuring value lies below the specified value has lasted the specified period of time.
