PURPOSE: A windmill blade is provided to achieve improved use efficiency of wind pressure by increasing or decreasing the wind pressure area in accordance with the intensity of wind power, while protecting the blade from the strong wind power. CONSTITUTION: A windmill blade comprises a blade body(1) mounted on a blade assembly so as to receive a wind pressure, and which has a plurality of wind pressure control ports; a wind pressure control plate slide coupled to a guide which is mounted on both sides of the wind pressure control port so as to control the degree of opening of the wind pressure control port, wherein the wind pressure control plate is disposed to correspond to each of the wind pressure control ports and connected to a wire(11); a plurality of elastic members(17) for connecting ends of the wires to one side of the blade body; a plurality of winches(19) for connecting the other ends of the wires to the other side of the blade body and winding or unwinding the wires; and a drive unit for driving the winches. The drive unit includes a pinion gear arranged at a shaft(23) where the winches are mounted; a rack gear(27) coupled to the pinion gear; and a cylinder(29) connected to the rack gear. |
