A connection set-up message (S-Setup) is transmitted across a network to set up a connection (SNV) to cover a network. Sending the S-Setup via an input point in a transit network (BN) initiates the set-up of a transit network connection (BNV) via the transit network, while the S-Setup is delayed by a preset delay time (TD) at the input point before being forwarded. An Independent claim is also included for a network transition device for setting up a connection over a transit network to cover a network.
