<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and speedily set compensation data without contaminating a product. <P>SOLUTION: A compensation data setting method comprises a preliminary setting processing in which the electric product (air purifier 10) mounting a standard dust sensor 50' is arranged in a first space, dust is poured in it to detect an output from the standard dust sensor 50', the electric product is arranged in a second space to apply light and detect an output from the standard dust sensor 50', and quantity of light which becomes the same output as thresholds A, B, C which become boundary of a pollution level is set; and compensation data setting processing in which the electric product on which a dust sensor 50 for loading is mounted is arranged in the second space, quantity of light which becomes the thresholds A, B, C is applied to detect actual output values a, b, c from the dust sensor 50 for loading, and differences between the thresholds A, B, C and actual output values a, b, c are calculated to set the differences (a-A, b-B, c-C) as compensation data of the dust sensor 50 for loading. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
