<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for mounting upper and lower chords of a handrail, particularly for mounting the upper and lower chords of the handrail set in a veranda of an apartment house constructed by the Japan Housing Corporation or by a private housing company, which allows employment of long upper and lower chords, is formed of a smaller number of component parts, easy to assemble, and achieves rigid mounting of the chords. <P>SOLUTION: In the apparatus for mounting the upper and lower chords 3, 4 on a support 2 of the handrail, a bracket 5 having plate members 6 horizontally extending with respect to the support 2, is attached to the support 2, and the upper and lower chords 3, 4 are hooked on and engaged with the plate members 6 of the bracket 5, followed by fixing the upper and lower chords 3, 4 to the bracket 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
