PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film applying system with which a stage can be easily exchanged even when a film to be applied to an object to receive the film is to be changed to a film of a different length. SOLUTION: A tubular label L fed in a folded state like a sheet is transferred to a label applying device 5 via a label transfer device 4, and the device 5 opens the label L to apply onto a bottle B. The label transfer device 4 includes a take-up member 10 for sucking and holding one of surfaces of the label L. The label applying device 5 includes a label opener 40 having a pair of swing arms 41 for receiving and opening the sheet-like folded label L which has been sucked and held by the take-up member 10. The take-up member 10 and the swing arms 41 are designed to be capable of carrying and opening a plurality of kinds of labels L different in length. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
