PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light beacon easily installable while lowering the danger of damage in case a marine vessel collides against it and causing no inclination of a lighting fixture output optical axis by waves. SOLUTION: In this light beacon installed underwater (at sea, for instance) for use, one end P1 of a floating body part 3 is fixedly supported to the upper part of an anchor part 1 with a horizontal bottom part 1a installed at the water bottom 8. The floating body part 3 is of cylindrical shape with a thickness tB erected vertically to the bottom part of the anchor part 1, and has a floating part lower part 2 where the diameter of a part of the floating body part 3 close to one end P1 fixedly supported to the anchor part 1 is small. The floating body lower part 2 and the floating body part 3 are continuously formed with prescribed inclinationθ. The upper part of the floating body part 3 is provided with a platform part 5 equipped with a lighting fixture 6 and a storage part 9, and an intermediate floating body part 4 is provided under the water surface 7 around the floating body 3.
