DNA FRAGMENT HAVING PROMOTER ACTIVITY AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a promoter causing transcription of an RNA from a DNA fragment when inserted into the 5'-side of the DNA fragment and to provide a method for using the promoter.

SOLUTION: The method for expressing a gene in a DNA polynucleotide and a plant cell comprises connecting a polynucleotide composed of a specific DNA sequence or a polynucleotide which is hybridized with the polynucleotide under a stringent condition and has promoter activity to the 5'-upstream of the DNA to be expressed in an expression manner and transferring the DNA to the plant cell so that a gene is expressed tissue-specifically.
