PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a legless chair for assisting rising capable of being continuously converted from a legless chair condition to a rising assist condition through a chair condition, being reclined and folded down, and contributing to independent life of a person with an advanced age, a sickly person, and a person under challenging. SOLUTION: This legless chair for assisting rising is constituted in such a way that an elevating mechanism by means of a pair of right and left parallel links 6, 7 having a support point in front of a base frame 1 is rotated by a drive mechanism attached to a lower part of a seat face, and the legless chair is provided with a safety mechanism in which a front half part of a seating part is downward rotated so that it does not prevent a user to rise, a support for the back is automatically erected, and the support for the back is forward and backward inclined while an armrest 39 mounted on the support for the back is kept horizontal to recline and fold back the legless chair when the seating part is raised to convert from the legless chair condition to the chair condition, and the parallel links 6, 7 are rotated to raise the seating part to convert into the rising assist condition so that a human body is not injured when lowering.
