PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin hole electric discharge machine for both of an electric discharge drill and thread cutting capable of providing sufficient practicality and excellent machining efficiency. SOLUTION: A thread cutting device is provided on an ordinary thin hole electric discharge machine 10 and is constituted by combining a servo motor 14 with a rotary axis (R-axis) 11 and a machining axis (Z-axis) 13. A spiral electrode 15 and a guide 16 which is inner side spiral are provided on the rotary axis 11 to achieve a thread cutting function by electric discharge power supply and working fluid.
