PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more quantitatively measure a peripheral nerve function or tactile sensation threshold. SOLUTION: The instrument provided with a plurality of groove-like lines with different depth on a panel surface is prepared, and a person to be measured (non-diseased person or patient) is made move the instrument by pressing it with a fingertip and made answer the number. Only by answering the number of confirmed lines for the person to be measured, the objective peripheral nerve function or tactile sensation threshold can be quantitatively measured without subjectivity. In such a case, besides the groove-like lines on the panel surface, groove-like points, mountain-like projecting points, mountain-like projecting lines or steps may be also available.
