PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically determine and set the transmission output of an ultrasonic system for imaging of a contrast medium capable of continuously imaging the contrast medium by low mechanical indices imaging of the contrast medium without destroying the contrast medium. SOLUTION: By comparing data associated with different transmission output levels, the different delays of data acquisition or different data acquisition sequences, the contrast medium imaging transmission output for approximately minimizing the destruction of the contrast medium and maximizing an S/N ratio is dynamically determined.
