PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desk top type ashtray that is small, short and compact and can effectively extinguish cigarette buds and stops smoking. SOLUTION: The ashtray comprises the upper partition 1 and the lower partition 2 where they are made connectable in the intermediate part. A funnel type bud inlet 3 is detachably provided at the center of the top face of the upper partition 1. Simultaneously, the right over part of the bud-falling opening 31 opened on the bud-falling body 3 of the funnel bud-falling body 3 is closed at a top surface opening portion 32 of the bud-falling body 3 and a top face plate 4 having a bud-falling inlet opened is detachably provided above the funnel inclined face 30.
