<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which achieves a lighter weight and excellent wear resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head has a head body 1 formed out of a carbon fiber-reinforced resin material having carbon fibers impregnated with a synthetic resin and a wear resisting synthetic resin plate 2 stuck on the sole surface of the head body 1.
