<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaged egg-containing food material, and to provide a method for cooking an egg-containing food by the egg-containing food material. <P>SOLUTION: This packaged egg-containing food material with a separated egg component is used to obtain the egg-containing food by mixing by addition raw eggs when cooking and heating the product with a microwave oven. The egg-containing food material contains a liquid containing common salt and water, and is held and sealed in a microwave-permeable heat-resisting container and sterilized.
