<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain reduction of power consumption or increase of catalyst heater capacity by increasing deodorization efficiency by decreasing temperature unevenness at a planar surface of an oxidative combustion catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: A catalyst heater 25 which is arranged so as to be approximately perpendicular to an exhaust gas flow and heats the planar oxidative combustion catalyst 20 is disposed. The catalyst heater 25 is made to be a complex heater 26 constituted by combination of a plurality of sheathed heaters 25a, 25b, 25c and a pitch L between heat generating tubes between respective adjacent sheathed heaters is made smaller than bending pitches Pa, Pb and Pc of respective sheathed heaters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
