PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely set a driving condition by applying a setting method for the driving condition to particularly a printer which records to a recording object by heating of heating elements thereby ejecting ink liquid drops in relation to the setting method for the driving condition of the printer and the printer. SOLUTION: A driving time interval in which a resistance value of the heating element changes by not smaller than a fixed rate by repetitive driving is obtained, and an upper limit value is set by the driving time interval to set a driving period.
