DESALTING TREATMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEAWATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sustain separation efficiency of a high level for a long period while minimizing the deterioration of separation membranes by preventing the precipitation and deposition of scale (including carbonate) on the separation membrane surfaces of a second stage reverse osmosis membrane apparatus in particular in subjecting seawater to desalting treatment at a high recovery rate by using the reverse osmosis membrane apparatus connected in two stages. SOLUTION: In further enhancing cleanliness by the second stage reverse osmosis membrane apparatus after the seawater to be treated is treated in the first stage reverse osmosis membrane apparatus, the membrane permeate is subjected to scale generation preventive treatment on the downstream side of the first stage reverse osmosis membrane apparatus and on the upstream side of the second stage reverse osmosis membrane apparatus.
