PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind sorting apparatus capable of quickly and highly precisely sorting and separating even sorting materials containing a lot of foreign matters into foreign matters, heavy weight materials and light weight materials. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with wind tunnel housings 10, 11 having charge openings 8, 9 charging the sorting materials 3, 5; belt conveyers 12, 13 placed in the inside of the housings; blowers 14, 15 placed at positions on the downstream side in the conveying direction A of the conveyers 12, 13 against the charge openings 8, 9 to blow wind toward the upstream side in the conveying directions A of the conveyers 12, 13; and two steps of wind sorters 1, 2 placed at positions on the up- and down-stream sides in the conveying directions A of the conveyers 12, 13 and installed with exhausting opening 16-19 exhausting sorted materials. In the first step by the wind sorter 1, the foreign matters 4 in the sorting materials 3 are separated and in the second step by the wind sorter 2, materials to be sorted which have been removed from the foreign matters 4 are separated into the heavy weight materials 6 and the light weight materials 7.
