GRAVURE COATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure coating apparatus capable of performing the gravure coating of a thin substrate material with a coating solution in a uniform thickness even if gravure coating is performed at a high speed. SOLUTION: A rotating gravure roll 14 is arranged so that a part thereof is immersed in the coating solution within a liquid tank 12 and a scrape-off blade 32 for scraping off the coating solution on the peripheral surface of the gravure roll 14 is provided. A single surface of the substrate material W comes into contact with the peripheral surface of the gravure roll 14 from which the coating solution is scraped off by the scrape-off blade 32. The liquid tank 12 is partitioned by a partition wall 16 and a downstream side liquid storage part 20 covers the peripheral surface of 45 to <90°of the gravure roll 14 and the liquid tank 12 is set to an airtight state by a closing blade 38, the gravure roll 14 and the scrape-off blade 32.
