PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device of a sewing machine capable of dispensing with an operating switch and keeping the cooling action even during the stop of the sewing machine. SOLUTION: This cooling device of a sewing machine includes a sewing machine bed 2 on which sewn material is placed, an under cover 22 covering the lower part of the sewing machine bed to form an internal space, a shuttle shaft 9 disposed on the lower part of the sewing machine bed and having a shuttle mounted at the shaft end, a lower shaft (a vertical feed shaft 6) disposed parallel to the shuttle shaft and interlocking with a motor, connecting members (gears 18, 19) interlocking the lower shaft with the shuttle shaft, and a storing part (a gear box 11) storing the connecting members and one end part of the shuttle shaft, the inside of which is filled with lubricating oil, a part of which is fixed to the sewing machine bed. The device further includes a thermal conductive member (a copper plate, a heat pipe 20), one end side of which abuts on the sewing machine heating part (the sewing machine bed 2, a shuttle 10, a head, the storing part 11), the other end thereof being disposed outside of the internal space.
