PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw-away diaper which can effectively prevent the occurrence of eczema, heat rash, rash, etc. SOLUTION: The throw-away diaper 1 has extending waist flaps 6 and 6' from the front and rear end edges of an absorber 4 to the outer side, respectively in which the prescribed region between the end edge of the waist flap 6 on the skin-opposing surface of at least one flap 6 and the end edge of the absorber 4 opposed by this end edge is formed of a hydrophobic region of 1 to 10 cm in water resistant pressure and a water absorptive hydrophilic region is formed on the inside surface of the hydrophobic region adjacently to the hydrophobic region.
