PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method capable of accurately and uniformly coating a liquid on a work without masking and preventing the waste consumption of the liquid. SOLUTION: The liquid 3 is coated by outputting the liquid 3 so as to swell a liquid level 4 of a rubber paste 3, i.e., the liquid from a slit 11a of a head 11 and contacting a pipe 2, i.e., the work with the swelled liquid surface 4. According to this method, since the coating is carried out while a part of the work can be directly contacted with the liquid, the liquid can be coated on the projection and the recessed parts of the work. Whereas, a masking cap used in a method by immersing in the liquid is not required, a labor for putting-in and removing it can be omitted.
