PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that can be appropriately controlled even if power voltage changes. SOLUTION: The starting current flowing at the time when an electric blower is started is detected in an electric current detection circuit. A setting circuit proportionally varies an input decrementally set electric current value B in accordance with the starting current and sets. The electric current of the electric blower detected in an electric current detection circuit and the input decrementally set electric current value B are compared by a control circuit. If the electric current of the electric blower falls below the input decrementally set electric current value B, the control circuit judges that clogging occurs and lowers the output of the electric blower. Even if power voltage varies, the setting circuit changes the input decrementally set current value B and sets in accordance with a change in the starting current of the electric blower detected in the electric current detection circuit.
