<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding a food with which a mixed food material composed of a mixture of a granular food material such as cone flakes or nuts with a food material having viscosity such as chocolate or a candy can be molded so as to have a soft and light texture with good productivity and an apparatus for molding. <P>SOLUTION: The mixed food material 1 composed of the mixture of the granular food material with the food material having the viscosity is pressurized between a molding drum 21 having a plurality of recessed parts 22 on the outer peripheral surface thereof and a belt conveyor 11 and molded into a prescribed shape while being deposited to a prescribed thickness and transported with the belt conveyor 11. In the process, the molding drum 21 is slid along the top surface of the belt conveyor 11 while rotating the molding drum 21. As a result, the mixed food material 1 is filled so as to be rubbed in the recessed parts 22 without being strongly pressurized.
