TREATMENT TOOL FOR ENDOSCOPE AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR OPERATING PART THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve chemical resistance and corrosion resistance by using austenite stainless steel as an operating part, further, to improve hardness in a portion of a cutting blade by applying shot peening to such a portion and to present sufficient sharpness even after repeated uses.

SOLUTION: A cup-shaped pawl 5 comprising an operating part 2 of a biopsy forceps 1 is formed of the austenitic stainless steel from the point of view of chemical resistance and corrosion resistance and for keeping a cutting blade 19 sharp and preventing the sharpness from becoming dull even after repeated operations, shot peening processing is applied to the portion of the cutting blade 19 such that the hardness can be improved.
