PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost device for growing plant and requiring no air conditioner by preventing temperature rising in a greenhouse 1. SOLUTION: This device has an edge-light type lighting system in a housing 19. The lighting system comprises setting a fluorescent lamp 14 having a crank shape in plan view along an optical waveguide 17 having a reflector sheet 16 and a light disperser sheet 18, wherein the reflector sheet 14, the light disperser sheet 18 and the optical waveguide 17 are nipped with the openable edge of a reflector 15 having the fluorescent lamp 14 in its groove. The housing 19 is set on the upper side of the greenhouse 1. Light reflection coats 23 are formed at regions corresponding to the spaces between the inner edges of the reflector 15 and the open edge of the greenhouse 1 and on the lower side of the housing 19.
