PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a chain 78 in a state of not having an excessive slackening without performing a troublesome chain-straining treatment by a manual work, and maintaining the state firmly even by imparting a strong tensile load on the chain. SOLUTION: This combine equipped with raising up cases 20a, 20b for acting as raising planted cereal culms up while the machine body is progressing forward, in which the raising up cases are equipped with multiple number of guiding wheels 65, 66 and winding an endless chain over the guiding wheels is provided by installing a chain-slackening-preventing mechanism 67 for transferring some of the guiding wheels 66 to the straining side for the chain by association with the elongation of the chain 78, and also restraining automatically the returning displacement of the transfer associated with the transfer of the some of them.
