PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the trouble of the dragging of a seedling with a planting finger in the case of expanding the hill space in a transplanter provided with a rotary case. SOLUTION: Seedlings are raked from a seedling table 15 and planted on soil with planting fingers 29 attached to both ends of a rotary case 24 by the rotation of the rotary case 24. The transplanter having the above structure is provided with a variable speed changing mechanism 36 to vary the rotational speed of the rotary case 24 and the maximum speed point E of the rotary case 24 is adjusted to the time immediately after the planting of the seedling with the planting finger 29.
