PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire capable of manufacturing the tire without bringing about a manufacturing fault. SOLUTION: In the belt and tread assembly molding step, a tread part 16 is formed by forming a belt 12 on an outer peripheral surface of a belt molding drum 10 in which an outer peripheral sectional shape along a rotary axis is formed to protrude at a radial outside in a substantially circular arc shape and winding a band-like first tread member 14A, a second tread member 14B and a third tread member 14C. A tread part 16 can be formed without wrinkling even when a sectional shape of the outer peripheral surface of the belt is formed in a substantially circular arc shape having a small radius of curvature by shortening the lengths of the second member 14B and the third member 14C to be laminated at both sides of the first member 14A.
