PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document shredder capable of letting shredded paper pieces fall without accumulating them in the gap between scrapers. SOLUTION: The scrapers 12 and 13 are brought into slide contact with both rotary shafts 5 and 6 within its almost semicircular range from the regions under both shafts to opposite direction parts B to be formed into a shape exposed over the almost semicircular range from the regions above both shafts to the opposed part A of the scrapers. Rotary blades 7 and 8 are provided to a shredder body 1 so as to leave a space 19 the interval of which is wider than the maximum width M of paper pieces 20A. The surface 18 extending from the upper end 16 of the slide contact position of the scrapers 12 and 13 is set to an almost horizontal surface. The distance of the paper pieces 20A passing through the gap between the scrapers 12 and 13 become short to make it hard to generate clogging. Further, the clogging with the paper pieces 20A becomes hard to generate because of the wide space 19. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
