<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for eliminating or reducing HCV by treating the blood of a HCV infected patient to be brought into contact with an absorbent carrier having high affinity to a leudocyte, which is infected and activated and/or damaged, rather than to a non-infected leukocyte once a day for continuous five days or more. <P>SOLUTION: By this method for eliminating or reducing the C-type hepatitis virus, HCV in the blood of the C-type hepatitis infected patient can be remarkably reduced, and a medical treatment using an antiviral medicine such as interferon is enabled to remarkably improve the treatment efficiency of C-type hepatitis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
