ETHYLENE RESPONSIVE TRANSCRIPTION COACTIVATOR OF PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for controlling an ethylene response of a plant by specifying a transcription coactivator [a multiprotein bridging factor (MBF)] of an ethylene response transcription factor group (ERFs) and elucidating the mechanism of action of the MBF for the ERFs positively controlling the expression of a plant gene group exhibiting the ethylene responsiveness.

SOLUTION: The MBF of the ERFs is specified. The transcription coactivator is proved to be the one for the ERF positively controlling the expression of the plant gene group exhibiting the ethylene responsiveness. The ethylene response of the plant can be controlled by utilizing the gene of the transcription coactivator.
