PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-color coating method for an exterior material of such as a building by which finishing with two or more colors can be easily carried out and sheet pieces to be discarded can be advantageously utilized. SOLUTION: This multi-color coating method comprises steps of (1) sticking a sheet piece A' corresponding to a desired hole part A among hole parts of a multi-color joint sheet after a step of sticking the multilayer joint sheet to a substrate, (2) forming a first coating film by applying a first coating material, (3) sticking a sheet piece B' corresponding to a desired hole part B among hole parts of the multi-color joint sheet after a step of peeling the uppermost layer of the multi-layer joint sheet and the sheet piece A' stuck in the step (1), (5) forming a second coating film by applying a second coating material, and (6) peeling the second layer of the multiplayer joint sheet and the sheet piece B' stuck in the step (3).
