<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cell culture. <P>SOLUTION: The new device and method for efficiently culturing cells by making cell death as minimum for collecting the maximum amount of a cell product produced by the cultured cells are provided. More in detail, the device and method are provided by plating cells and yielding the maximum adhesion of the objective cells. Further, the growth substrate means is provided for maximizing the production of the cell product by capable of providing the maximum surface area for the cell adhesion, and providing sufficient oxygen and nutrition to the cells intermittently and periodically by acting as an oxidizing device, a depth filter and a static mixer without causing the cell death. Since the device is economical and disposable, complex problems caused by a sterilization are eliminated, and it is possible to provide oxygen and the nutrition to the cells periodically and intermittently by controlling the amount of the culturing medium making a contact with the growing substrate means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
