<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling temperature in a house without relying on air conditioning. <P>SOLUTION: The roof 2 of the house 1 is made from transparent plates 3 in a double structure to form a roof space 4. In winter or the like, a greenhouse effect gas such as the exhaust gas 11 of a heater 5 is charged in the formed roof space 4 to exhibit a greenhouse effect. Thereby, the escape of incident infrared light from the room of the house 1 is prevented to maintain the temperature in the room. In summer or the like, an infrared light-absorbing liquid 19 cooled in an infrared light-absorbing liquid storage tank 14 is circulated in the roof space 4.
