A surrounding shell 28, matching a tapered bore in a housing 12, secures the assembly against removal from the smaller end of the housing 12. A screw plug 20 closes the large end of the housing 12, a splicing cavity between between the plug 20 and the shell 28. As shown the conductors 14a of the cable are spliced to other conductors 18 extending through the plug 20. The splices are surrounded by a sealing medium 30. (For Figure see next column) |
