DEVICE FOR CHECKING STATE OF PROJECTOR AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A device for checking a state of a projector and a method for displaying the same are provided to improve the safety and reliability by monitoring the inner state of the projector and compensate the abnormal state of the projector. CONSTITUTION: A power supply unit(10) supplies power source to a lamp driving unit(20). The lamp driving unit supplies appropriate current to a lamp(21). A current detector(41) is connected to an output of the lamp driving unit for detecting the current supplied to the lamp. The supplied current is converted into a digital type value by an A/D(Analog to Digital) converter(42) to be recognized by a control unit(50). A period measuring unit(44) is connected to an output of a motor(30) driving a cooling fan(31) for measuring one period of the motor and generating predetermined pulses every one period of the motor. A counter(46) counts the number of pulses. The control unit calculates the number of pulsed by the minute to obtain revolution per minute, so that the control unit controls a display unit(60) to display the current state of the lamp and the cooling fan.
